What do you need to know about me...?
My guess is your first question is; Who are you? Let’s start with my family. I am married to the coolest girl in the world, my wonderful wife Leann. We’ve been married for six years, and are getting the hang of life. Right now, we have two kids: our daughter’s name is Colbie, and our son’s name is Mason. They’re pretty cool too. We live in south central Pennsylvania where we love our family, friends, and church. I’ve done a lot of school, I’ve worked as a youth pastor, favorite food is pizza, I like jazz music, and I love Jesus.
Your next question is probably: What do you do? I’ll tell you. My full-time job is stay at home dad. This keeps me thoroughly busy, but when I’m not doing that, I write, speak, and make videos online. The content I create is all over the place. Sometimes I want to make people think, other times I just want to make them laugh. Some of what I have to say is encouraging, and other parts are challenging. Some of it is for teenagers, and some is for everyone else.
And this brings us to an important question; Why do I do it? At the end of the day I create content so that I can tell people about Jesus. That’s all I’m really trying to do here. I love to make people laugh because I actually think God has a sense of humor. I like to challenge people’s faith because I think we need more people following Jesus. And I like to encourage people because this isn’t easy.
So that’s a little of who I am and what I’m about. What I really hope is that the content I produce creates a safe space for wrestling with tough ideas, asking the questions we’re not supposed to ask, and laughing at the parts that don’t matter. I want us to engage our faith in a way that feels comfortable, while taking us out of our comfort zone. If that makes any sense at all. So thanks for being here, it means a lot to me.
And the last thing you should know about me is I take a ton of selfies with people I care about, and I regret none of them.
